A Queen and Her Knight

The basic premise of Worshipping Your Wife revolves around the husband stoking the fires of passion with his wife by making her the center of his attention, and continuously seeking ways to please her. The author likens the relationship to that between a Queen and her Knight, where his sole purpose is to serve his Queen. He does not propose the Knight act like a slave, because the idea is also about mutual respect. But like the code of chivalry, service to the Queen is the most noble thing he can aspire to. It may sound corny to some readers, but many wives could speak volumes about what would really make them happy. The notion of a chivalric code of behavior is all about being attentive and caring to one's wife, and focused on every detail important to her happiness. Surprisingly, a lot of this stuff is simply taking on mundane tasks that we men so often take for granted from our wives. The counterintuitive point for most men is that just by acting in this way, they can really ignite the fires of passion in their wives. A lot of men wind up after years of marriage wondering where all the great sex went. Well, it went out the door when they let their own focus and consideration for their wives go out that same door.

I for one, can attest to the power of a husband's refocused attention on his wife, and the wonderful response he will eventually receive from his wife, if he is sincere and diligent, and there is no underlying manipulation. It is really not about giving something and looking for a payback. It must be a sincere effort to please one's wife first and foremost for the simple pleasure of seeing her happy. The great sex part, for both husband and wife, is only a natural outcome.
