A slow turning

The past year of personal introspection, revelation and open discussion with Angie brought us to a point today where we openly discuss things we never did before, and fantasize together during our sexual play about things we might have kept inside each of ourselves in times past. The reality is that we still live a vanilla lifestyle, but are comfortable having the door open to exploration in our sexual life together sometime down the road, if we still feel the same way about exploration. We’ll definitely share what we experience along the way.

The intent of “augmenting” our lifestyle goes beyond the gratification of naughty sexual play. It goes into areas of the psyche that include a desire to maybe catch a little bit more excitement than what our relatively cautious, conservative, vanilla lifestyle has offered up to this point. Our life has certainly been a good life, no complaints. We are very fortunate, and have dodged the Chinese proverb of living in “interesting times,” but as I said to Angie on more than one occasion, we are essentially on the back side of our youth, and I do not intend to passively age while waiting for my AARP card to show up in the mail. Maybe we won’t run with the bulls in Spain, or spear fish sharks, but we’ll do something out of our own norm. Maybe we’ll do Hedonism vacations. Hell, I’ll take a two week vacation on the Greek Isles, living boisterous, eating grandly, dancing with Angie late at night in the festive atmosphere of the open plaza, drinking Metaxa, and getting up late the next morning. These days it feels like a break out just knowing that we are getting into Latin dancing in the evenings instead of just watching TV.
